Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve — 2011 winds

January 11, 2012
The city of  Temecula (north of San Diego) wants to better understand the impacts of aerosols on the city from the proposed Liberty Quarry (to be run south of the Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve – SMER). They have requested wind pattern information from CNAP/CCCC/HPWREN HydroClimate Network sensors in SMER (see more on the HydroClimate Network at http://hcn.ucsd.edu). Douglas Alden provides the images below showing two wind roses for 2011 overlaid on a Google Earth image of the area. The North Station site wind rose is also shown.
